A speech given by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin at the signing ceremony for the Declaration of Principles (Oslo I Accord) in Washington, DC, on 13 September 1993. Alluding to the violent history of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and his own past as a soldier, Rabin called for an end to bloodshed and the beginning of "a new era in the history of the Middle East."
