United Nations Security Council Resolution 1850 (2008)
A resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 16 December 2008, by a vote of 14 For, 0 Against, 1 Abstaining (Libya). It reaffirmed the Security Council's commitment to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on Resolutions 242, 338, 1397 and 1515, as well as the principles established during the 1991 Madrid Conference. It further endorsed the Annapolis Process and called on both sides to implement their commitments under the Road Map for Peace. The resolution was closely followed by the outbreak of the Gaza War.
