An agreement signed between the Holy See and Israel in Jerusalem on 30 December 1993. The agreement detailed the relations between the two parties and the privileges of the Catholic Church in Israel, provided for the establishment of diplomatic relations, and reinforced the status quo regarding the Christian holy sites.
