United Nations Security Council Resolution 237 (1967)
A resolution adopted unanimously by the United Nations Security Council on 14 June 1967. Following the conclusion of the Six Day War, in which Israel took control of the Golan Heights, West Bank, Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula, the resolution called on Israel to ensure the safety and well-being of the inhabitants of areas where the war had taken place, and on all relevant government to respect the principles of the Geneva Conventions.
