United Nations General Assembly Resolution 273 (1949)

A resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 May 1949 by a vote of 37 For, 12 Against, 9 Abstaining. Based on the recommendation of the Security Council, and taking into account Resolutions 181 and 194, the resolution expressed the decision of the General Assembly to admit Israel as a member state of the United Nations.
