Ben-Arie Plan for Territorial Exchange
A plan put forward by Israeli geographer Yehoshua Ben-Arie, suggesting a territorial settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict involving trilateral territorial exchange between Israel, Palestine and Egypt. The plan would involve Israeli annexation of settlement blocs in the West Bank; Egypt ceding to Palestine territory adjacent to the Gaza Strip; and Israel compensating Egypt with territory in the southern Negev. It also included transportation corridors passing through Israeli territory and linking the West Bank to the Gaza Strip and Egypt, and Egypt to Jordan.
