Israeli PM Rabin's Speech Upon Receiving the Nobel Peace Prize (1994)

A speech given by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in Oslo, Norway, on 10 December 1994, upon receiving the Nobel Peace Prize along with Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat. Alluding to his military past and to the war dead across the Middle East, Rabin expressed hope that peace would be able to preserve the lives of soldiers and civilians alike. He also thanked Israel's partners in the peace process, as the representative of the people of Israel and the Jewish people.
