United Nations Security Council Resolution 478 (1980)
A resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 20 August 1980, by a vote of 14 For, 0 Against, 1 Abstaining (United States). The resolution denounced the recently enacted Israeli Basic Law on Jerusalem and all actions taken by Israel to change the status quo in the city, and called on member states to accept the resolution and withdraw their diplomatic missions from Jerusalem.
