Creating the Conditions for a Viable Two-State Reality
ECF’s Efforts Include:
Advancing a shift of strategy towards Gaza - ECF engages with Israeli, Palestinian and Egyptian actors to identify and advance measures that could contribute to progress in fostering a sustainable stability in Gaza while enabling and facilitating an enhanced role for the Palestinian Authority as a preferred partner.
Addressing sources of tensions in Jerusalem - Israeli-Palestinian-Jordanian Track II dialogue aimed at jointly defining specific arrangements addressing tensions in and around the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif and at preserving the feasibility of the two-state solution in Jerusalem.
Addressing Security Challenges in the West Bank: The rapid deterioration of good governance in localities in the PA has created a threat to Israel’s security and undermines the prospects of a two-state reality. ECF works with a team of former senior Israeli and Palestinian security experts to identify and advance measures needed to enhance the PA’s governance capacities. These measures will facilitate the resumption of a sustainable Israeli-Palestinian security coordination as a key pillar for Israeli-Palestinian trust building and Palestinian state building efforts which will eventually pave the way towards a two-state solution.
Israeli-Palestinian Economic Dialogue: ECF together with Palestinian partners will recruit a team of Israeli and Palestinian economic experts, former officials and private sector actors for a joint, multi-layered process of designing policy measures aimed at promoting Palestinian trade facilitation and economic development.
