Spanish Congress of Deputies Resolution on Recognizing Palestine (2014)

A motion adopted by the Congress of Deputies, the lower house of the Spanish Parliament, by a vote of 319 For, 2 Against, 1 Abstaining, on 18 November 2014. It called on the Spanish Government to recognize the State of Palestine in the context of a two-state solution. The motion was one of five non-binding resolutions supporting recognition of Palestine adopted by parliaments of European states in late 2014, followed in December by a similar resolution adopted by the European Parliament, alongside official Swedish recognition of Palestinian statehood.
