London Meeting on Supporting the Palestinian Authority (2005)
An international conference held in London, United Kingdom, on 1 March 2005, with the goal of supporting the PNA and its newly-inaugurated President Mahmoud Abbas. The conference was hosted by British Prime Minister Tony Blair, with participants including Abbas, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. During the conference, an agreement was reached by which the international community would support PNA efforts in three issues: governance, security, and social and economic development.
