A resolution adopted by the Government of Israel under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on 1 October 2003 with a vote of 17 For, 4 Against, 1 Abstaining, subsequent to GOI Resolution 2077. The resolution reiterates the importance of the West Bank Separation Barrier and approves its continued construction according to the specified maps and phases, and stressing once more that it does not constitute a border. It authorizes the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to approve local changes in the route, and resolves that “every effort will be made” to reduce as much as possible the disturbance to the lives of Palestinians due to construction of the barrier.
