A summit held on 2 September 2010 in Washington, DC, aimed at restarting direct Israeli-Palestinian talks, following indirect negotiations that had been taking place since November 2009. The summit was held in the presence of US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, PNA President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The sides agreed to further negotiations, with an initial round in Sharm el-Sheikh roughly two weeks later.
