Palestine (Holy Places) Order in Council, 1924

An Order in Council, or type of primary legislation, pertaining to Palestine and enacted in the name of King George V on 25 July 1924. Contrary to the provisions of the Palestine Order in Council, 1922, which placed all civil matters in Palestine under the jurisdiction of the civil courts, this order determined that civil claims involving religious affairs would be settled by the High Commissioner or a special commission, and not by any civil court.
