A speech given by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin upon receiving the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize, jointly with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, in Oslo, Norway, on 9 December 1978. Begin spoke primarily of the history of the Jewish people and their fight for national liberation, of human rights and the ideas behind the Nobel Peace Prize, and of the Israel-Egypt peace process leading to the Camp David Accords.
